Comprehensive Care for Aortic Aneurysms in Worcester, MA
Treatment for aortic aneurysms is determined according to the severity and size of the abdominal aortic aneurysm. Some of our treatment options include:
- Medications – Management of abdominal aortic disease can occur through the use of drugs to control cholesterol and blood pressure
- Endovascular stent graft repair - A less invasive procedure than open surgery that involves the placement of a covered stent to reline the aneurysm and to keep it from bursting. The result is faster recovery time and less pain.
- Open surgical aneurysm repair - For patients not appropriate for minimally invasive procedures, an aortic graft (a durable tube) is sewn in place to replace the weakened segment of artery and keep it from bursting.
